I Ain't Got the Rant In Me Like I Used To, But Let's Give It A Go

The WSJ (or Wall Street Journal) reports today that recent law graduates are falling on hard times due to our old friends Demand and Supply. Now I am sure that our friend, Pail Donkey, will be able to get a sweet gig, but there are definitely a lot of punk kids clogging up the base paths. I fault Law and Order.

This is how it works. After watching about the 4 hundredth episode of L&O, people truly believe that they are lawyer material, I mean really, you just need a social science degree and a middle class mom to be the next best DA, or none of the above as long as you are not a white guy.

However, after the train wreck that is law school and student loans, many people are finding that not only does being a lawyer not usually very much fun, but only the top-school kids are getting the good jobs, good meaning that they work 70 hours a week helping rich people and businesses dodge FICA.

What does all this mean? Nothing. And that one should not select a profession based on what TNT airs in the afternoon. Oh, everybody with their MBA from the University of Phoenix – good luck with that.
