Does anyone think that Romney is McCain's best choice? What does he bring? I think McCain will lose because the whole country is convinced that McCain will lose so no one wants to donate to his campaign. Romney will be able to drum up more money and a solid group of community organizers to get out the vote. He'll also be able to look good in front of the cameras, thrash whoever is the other veep in the debates, and won't bring any past scandals to the campaign.
If he's a flip-flopper, his second biggest weakness, no one will really care. That he's Mormon, his biggest liability, only really bothers evangelicals. So that won't hold them back much while fighting for independents. And no one expects the evangelicals to come out for McCain anyway. If they come it will be against Obama.
Crist won't be it because he's rumored to be gay. Jindel already denied it, but is too young and I doubt he can connect well with the white middle class that are deciding this.
Sarah Palin is his other good pick. Putting forward a strong woman might swipe away some of Obama's bitter former-Hillary supporters. She belongs to Feminists for Life, which sounds great and actually means pro-life feminists, rather than permanently feminist. Being from Alaska gives her credibility to talk about energy, which is the second biggest issue behind the economy. And her approval ratings have been in the mid 80's until she was mentioned as a possible McCain running mate.
Then there's Pawlenty, who you never really hear much about.
Who do you think takes it? Will he pick before Obama? How soon after or before? Does it matter?

What kind'a nerve you's got; posting on this here dead blog!
Romney is it. M.C. Cain hates him, but he really really really needs the money. Really. Plus Romney seems to be OK going down with the ship - it's not like he's got anything thing else going on.
This is a crazy world, so M.C. Cain still has a legitamate chance. Obama is black, after all. At least that's what my NASCAR friend told me. Are old people still afraid of black people too?

Desperately seeking Sarah
Americans need a little Palin Power
Sarah Palin the current Governor of Alaska is John McCain’s ultimate choice for VP. I do believe a woman is next in line for the presidency. All Conservatives like her. She is popular in Alaska. Hillary supporters would relish her. She would solidify a 12 or possibly 16 year Republican executive.
John McCain’s boring campaign is wearing thin. I need a little Palin Power to get me interested again. They would say ‘but she is only a half term Governor!’ And your point is?
That’s all I have to say about that!”
Who's ted?
